Funny, but not really worth it.
"The show was shorter than I expected and throughout the experience I couldn't help but think that I had forty bucks to sit in the back row of an auditorium to hear a guy read out loud. Brian Bates was funny, but the belly laughs were few and far between. If you're a crazy raving David Sedaris fan then I suppose seeing him live is worth it. For me, an average take-him-or-leave-him fan it was not. Rather than spending your money to hear him read for an hour take that same dough and buy a couple of his books. Then you at least get several hours of entertainment and can share it with your friends. I could have saved my money and listened to This American Life reruns at home and had at least as much fun."
